ABOUT KAYAKAYA WALLER began her dance training in Hoschton, GA as a member of Heather Wayne’s Dance Company. She later relocated to Kennesaw, GA to pursue her Bachelor of Arts in Dance at Kennesaw State University, where she recently graduated with a concentration in Modern Dance. During her time at KSU, Kaya trained under esteemed choreographers and educators, further developing her technique, artistry, and performance voice.
With over twelve years of dance experience, including seven years of competitive training, Kaya has earned numerous accolades for her work as both a soloist and ensemble dancer. She performed with the KSU Dance Company in works by prominent choreographers and danced with Brady Michael’s RISK Contemporary Dance Company for five seasons.
Beyond performance, Kaya is passionate about leadership and mentorship in dance. She founded and served as President of the KSU Club Dance Team, Talon Tribe, and continues to teach at multiple studios and schools in the Kennesaw area. In the studio and on stage, Kaya prioritizes artistry, authenticity, and vulnerability, inspiring dancers to connect deeply with movement as a form of expression.
